Fatal Accident on Hwy. D in Busch Wildlife

Two women were fatally injured Friday, Nov. 29, in a head-on collision on Route D near Lake 27 in the Busch Wildlife Area. Per the Missouri State Hwy. Patrol 

online crash report, a 2005 Jeep Liberty driven by Robyn P. Schupp, 54, Marthasville, MO was eastbound on Route D, traveling too fast for conditions, and skidded across the center line colliding with a westbound 2012 Audi driven by Rosalie A. Smith, 55, Marthasville, MO. Both Schupp and Barb A. Boeshansz, 63, of Obetz, OH, a passenger in Schupp's Jeep, were fatally injured. Smith was transported to Mercy St. Louis with serious injuries.

New Melle Fire Protection District reported on their FaceBook page that a black lab escaped one of the vehicles and ran away from first responders into Busch Wildlife. Anyone who might happen to find the dog is asked to contact St. Charles County Animal Control.
