Daniel Boone School Raises $1,100 to Fight Child Abuse

April was Child Abuse Prevention Month. For the past 5 years, Daniel Boone students have participated in the national Pinwheels for Prevention campaign to increase public awareness and raise money to be donated to MOKidsFirst. The pinwheel represents hope, health, and happiness. This uplifting symbol of childhood represents efforts to ensure the healthy development of children, while recognizing that child development is a building block for community and economic development. This year Daniel Boone raised $1,100 to donate to MOKidsFirst through student donations to the pinwheel garden and donations by parents who participated in the Stewards of Children CSA Prevention training.
