The New Melle Chamber of Commerce is very pleased to announce that our scholarship committee has completed it’s review of this year’s applicants. A total of 15 terrific applications with well thought out essays made our decision process extremely difficult. The list was finally narrowed down to the following four applicants, each of whom will receive a $1,000 scholarship:
Luke Blondin. Luke is is a graduate of Francis Howell High School and plans to attend Missouri State University, Columbia, majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Electrical Engineering.
Madison Main. Madison is a graduate of Liberty High School. She will be attending the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg and has not yet declared a major.
Daniel Mallinckrodt. Daniel graduated from St. Francis Borgia High School in Washington and will study Mechanical Engineering at Missouri S&T in Rolla, MO. He is the son of Don and Corinne Mallinckrodt.
Sean Oswald. Sean graduated from Timberland High School and plans to attend Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla where he will study Aerospace Engineering.
Congratulations to all of our winners, and also to their families, teachers, and others who have had a positive impact on these brilliant young minds. We also congratulate all the other applicants on their acacdemic successes so far, and wish them well as they, too, pursue their educational and career goals.
