Crews with the Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project will close the ramp from the Foristell/Route T/W interchange to westbound I-70 for grading work. All work is weather permitting.

Crews working on the Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project will shift lanes on Interstate 70 between the Foristell weigh station and Wentzville Parkway (mile markers 205.4-208) starting overnight Thursday, October 1, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Overall, motorists can expect the following traffic conditions and impacts. All work is weather permitting.

The recent dove season opener on September 1 marked the beginning of the fall hunting season.  Fall hunting is already underway, but it’s still early, which means now is the best time to sight in and pattern firearms for hunting dove, deer, turkey, duck, and goose. 

The City of New Melle is holding a Tax Levy Public Hearing on Thursday, September 24, at 6 p.m. at City Hall. 

On Wednesday, August 26, our community gained a valuable asset. A Safe Haven Baby Box was put into operation at the New Melle Fire Protection District Station #2, located at 3719 Hwy D near the intersection of Hwys D and DD.

On August 19, Kool Beans Coffee Company owners Liam McCarthy and Johnny Willis, along with the New Melle Chamber of Commerce, celebrated the coffee truck’s opening and chamber membership with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Dearly beloved, here we are gathered together at the final episode of my dismal trade stories and interviews. I think it’s an inexhaustible topic, but there are so many other Augusta stories I want to dig up, so I’m determined to wrap it up like a mummy, even if it goes into extra pages on my Word document.
