Floyd Dickherber

Floyd A. Dickherber of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away on May 4, 2024, at the age of 91.

He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Dickherber (née: Lindemann.) He is survived by his children, Gale "Butch" Dickherber, Elaine "Sis" Conway, Dean (Dianne) Dickherber, Lynn (Brenda) Dickherber, Jane (Terry) Ellermann, Neal Dickherber; two sisters, Helen Illy, Rita LaBarge; sister-in-law, Delores Dickherber; two brothers-in-law, Clyde Lindemann, James Lee Lindemann; twenty-one, grandchildren; fifty-six, great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Floyd was preceded in death by his father, Sylvester Dickherber; mother, Mary Dickherber (née: Mispagel,) dear son, Kevin Dickherber; son-in-law, Anthony Conway; brother, Maurice "Sonny" Dickherber; sisters, Dorothy Miller, Lucille Primeau, Estelle Ostmann, Mildred Sauer, Sylvia Timmermier, Laverne Heck.

Floyd was a lifetime farmer for 64 years, and was married to Mary "Tootles" for 64 years before her passing. From this union, seven children were born. Gale "Butch", Elaine, Kevin, Dean, Lynn, Jane, and Neal. Floyd courageously served in the United States Army during the Korean War conflict. After 30 years, he retired from Ford Motors as an Automotive Inspector. Floyd was an active member at Immaculate Heart of Mary in New Melle and enjoyed volunteering with the many church dinners, and fish fry's. He was a member of the VFW Post 5651 in New Melle. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation: Monday, May 13, 2024, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Parkway, and Tuesday, May 14, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church - Weber Hall, 8 W Hwy D, New Melle.
Funeral: Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 8 W Hwy D, New Melle.
Interment: Following funeral service at IHM Cemetery.
