Delsa's servant heart was evident in her many years of work at Contel Telephone and was a constant blessing to her husband, especially in his ailing years.

Delsa was a lady of great faith in Jesus Christ  She was a current member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wentzville, MO and a past member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in O'Fallon, MO. She was an honorary member of Women in Mission at Immanuel and of Holy Cross Women's Guild. Delsa enjoyed all things flowers, hearts, butterflies, and angels. She took note of them everywhere she went, decorated her Christmas tree with them, and especially treasured the cards that pictured these gifts from God.

For her, one of the greatest gifts was her family and friends.
