Elizabeth "Libby" Oswald


Elizabeth L. Oswald (née: Powers) of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away on July 2, 2024, at the age of 59.

She was the beloved wife of Rich Oswald. She is survived by her two sons, Sean Oswald and Eric Oswald; two brothers, Timothy Powers of FL; Paul (Tracy) Powers of Wentzville, MO; six sisters, Linda Sheppard of Webster Groves, MO; Cindy (David) McEuen of Jefferson City, MO; Patricia (Jim) Price of O' Fallon, MO; Kathy (Mike) Stilz of Lexington, KY; Joan (Jim) Blattel of Wentzville, MO; Barb (Doug) Nadler of O' Fallon, MO; sister-in-law, Jodi Powers of Wright City, MO; eight nieces; thirteen nephews. Libby was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Beatrice Powers (née: Koester,) brother, Martin Powers; brother-in-law, Fred Sheppard.

Libby was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wentzville. She enjoyed crafting, making photo albums, and making different projects for her boys. She always gave a handmade gift for the holidays. Libby also loved fishing at her property, but most of all, she loved her family and spending time with them. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation: Wednesday, July 10, from 1:30 to 8 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home 1545 Wentzville Parkway, Wentzville, MO 63385.
Funeral: Thursday, July 11, at 10 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church - Wentzville, 632 E. Hwy N, Wentzville, MO. 
Memorial donations: In honor of Libby, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (donate.cancer.org) or Immanuel Lutheran Church -Wentzville.
Interment: Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Harvester, MO 63304.
