Thomas "Tom" Robert Dowil, 77, of Villa Ridge, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Dowil of Villa Ridge; two sons, Mark (Lori) Dowil of Palmyra, Matthew (Sara) of Washington; one daughter, Michelle (Patrick) Hoeft of Union; eight grandchildren, Alex Dowil, Jackie (Blake) Totten, Christa (Zeke) Broughton, Maddie Dowil, Lauren Dowil, Kate Dowil, Raymond Hoeft, Hannah Hoeft; one great-grandchild, Brody Totten; four sisters, Georgiann Pharis, Mary (Keith) Trentmann, Debra Albright, Dena (Robert) Fuhr; three brothers, Glenn (Barb) Dowil, Gene (Agnes) Dowil, John (Cheryl) Dowil; along with many nieces, nephews, and other cherished family members.
Visitation: Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 4:15 to 8 p.m. at Oltmann Funeral Home in Washington, Missouri. Rosary from 4 to 4:15 p.m. with the Knights of Columbus.
Funeral Mass: Wednesday, January 21 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Nicklaus Winker presiding at Our Lady of Lourdes, 1014 Madison Avenue, Washington, MO 63090.
Graveside Service: Wednesday, January 21 from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Hwy 50 and Springfield Ave. Union.
Memorials: To CASA of Mideast Missouri or to St. Vincent de Paul at Our Lady of Lourdes.
