Ruth L. Struckhoff Heman passed away peacefully with her husband of 41 years, Maynard Heman, by her side on April 8, 2021 at the age of 88.
She is survived by her husband; three step-daughters, Denise A. (Gary) Stewart of Stilwell, KS, Karen L. (Skip) LaRue of Sunrise Beach, MO, Lynette K. Heman of Defiance, MO; three sisters, Mercedes Hopen of Ft. Wayne, IN, Mary Feldmann of O'Fallon, MO, Helen Reiling of St. Charles, MO; brother, Aloys Struckhoff of Augusta, MO; sister-in-law, Rita Struckhoff of Mehlville, MO; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Ruth was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Church of Augusta where she participated in many church activities such as quilting, cooking, and serving. She enjoyed gardening and baking pies. As a devoted farmer's wife to Maynard, she worked side by side on the farm and could “mend a fence with the best of ‘em.” Ruth had a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews and was very proud of them. She loved being on the farm with her family and was very giving to all. Her quick wit made time spent with family and friends most enjoyable.
She is preceded in death by her parents Edmund H. and Frances B. Aholt Struckhoff, three brothers, Paul E. Struckhoff, Richard Struckhoff, and John Struckhoff.
