Asleep in Jesus Dorothy Ann Hemmer at her home on June 5, 2021, at the age of 82 years, with her family by her side.
She was the beloved wife of Reginald "Reggie" Hemmer of Wentzville, Missouri. Dorothy was born on July 20, 1938 in New Melle, MO to Alvin and Dora Grapenthin. She was a Rural Postal Carrier from 1972 - 1999 and was a Homemaker and Caregiver to many. Dorothy loved her family and cherished time with them. She was most happy being a grandma. She always wanted to make sure there was enough food for all. Dorothy was known for her angel food cakes, hamburger soup, and spaghetti. Dorothy worked hard, was resilient and an inspiration. Dorothy will be forever in our hearts and deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Visitation: Friday, June 11, 2021, 4-8 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 150 W. Hwy. D, New Melle, MO 63365. Funeral Saturday, June 12, 10 a.m. at the church, with interment in the church cemetery.
