Edward J. Moeller, age 87, of Florissant, MO passed away quietly at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, October 12th, 2021.
Ed was born in St Louis on October 30th, 1933, son of the late Frederick and Pauline (Gehringer) Moeller.
On September 28th, 1957, Ed married Judith (Moehlmann) Moeller, the love of his life in St. Louis, MO.
Ed served in the United States Navy in St. Louis, MO.
He retired from Union Electric as a lineman & overhead repairman for 38 years of service. The favorite line at home was when the phone rang before it was answered, “Are you home, Dad?”. He was on the UE team that installed the ballfield lights at C&H Park in St. Charles, MO.
Ed was a faithful and dedicated member of St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church in Hazelwood, MO where he worked at the carnival and helped with anything that was needed, including their ballfield lights.
He always helped family when needed and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with family and friends, and playing tennis with his buddies.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Raymond (Gerry) Moeller, William Glen (Marie) Moeller, Marie Moeller, and Robert Moeller.
He is survived by his wife Judith (Moehlmann) Moeller, loving children David (Barbara) Moeller of Defiance, MO, Christine (Donald) Berhorst of Genoa City, WI, Dennis (Donna) Moeller of St. Louis, MO, and Kenneth (Jennifer) Moeller of Lake St. Louis, MO. Proud grandfather to Jennifer (Joshua) Ellis, Emily Moeller, Jake Berhorst, Eric (Sarah) Berhorst, Scott (Amber) Berhorst, Ellen, the late Stephen and Rachel Moeller, Gabe and Nathan Moeller. Cherished great-grandfather to Jordyn and Jarek Ellis, Braeden and Andrew Berhorst, Wyatt and Parker Berhorst. He is also survived by his sister Joann (the late Don) Gorman of St. Peters, MO, sister-in-law, Beverly Moeller of Hazelwood, MO; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends.
The Hutchens Mortuary is caring for Ed’s Family. Visitation will be at St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church, located at 615 Dunn Road, Hazelwood, MO on Saturday, October 16th, 2021 at 9:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by 11:00 am mass.
