Michael J. Molitor

Michael James Molitor passed away in his home on January 11, 2022, at the age of 76 years.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Eileen Molitor of Marthasville; three sons, Mike (Karla) Molitor Jr. of Wright City, MO, Daniel Molitor of New Melle, MO, and Larry (Amy) Molitor of Wright City, MO; six siblings, Richard Molitor of Marthasville, MO, William (Sandy) Molitor of Defiance, MO, Conrad (Karen) Molitor of Flint Hill, MO, Florence (Gene) Joerling of New Melle, MO, Jane Huddleston of Marthasville, MO, and Loretta Bruns of New Melle, MO; six grandchildren, Travis (Tiffany) Molitor, Ryan Molitor, Jessica Molitor, Cole Molitor, Maggie Molitor, and Morgan Molitor; three sisters-in-law, Alice Molitor of New Melle, MO, Betty Lou Molitor of Warrenton, MO, and Audrey Molitor of Morgantown, IN; brother-in-law, Pete Thompson of Jonesburg, MO; other relatives and many friends.

Michael James Molitor was born September 6, 1945; son of August Molitor and wife, Florence Hoeckelman Molitor. He was a graduate of St. Dominic High School. He was united in marriage to Eileen Tuepker on May 27, 1967, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in New Melle and three sons were born to this marriage.

He was employed by Waterhout Construction for over 30 years and a retired member of the Carpenters Union Local 32. He was also a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus in New Melle, MO. Michael enjoyed woodworking, playing golf, fishing, hunting, gardening, and tinkering with model trains.

He is preceded in death by his parents, August and Florence Molitor, six siblings, August Molitor, Jr., Gerald Molitor, Robert Molitor, Glennon Molitor; Mary Ann Rhodes, and Elizabeth Thompson; sisters-in-law, Jolene Molitor and Bernice Molitor, brothers-in-law, Gary Huddleston and Ralph Rhodes.

Visitation: Monday, January 17, 2022, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Pitman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Parkway, Wentzville, Missouri 63385. Funeral: Tuesday, January 18, 2022, 10:00 am, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Dutzow, MO with burial in the church cemetery.
