Dennis was born in St. Louis, Missouri and moved around a lot until settling in the Des Moines area as an adult. He spent his early years working in construction and masonry. Dennis was especially proud of the jobs he had completed and loved showing them off to his family. In 2010 he started in the maintenance department at Sun Prairie Apartments in West Des Moines. This is where he met the love of his life Kendra, many of his best friends and continued working until his death.
Dennis was a simple man with simple pleasures such as the outdoors, grilling and working with his hands. He loved the Kansas City Chiefs, bass fishing and most of all, his family. Dennis was an active, no-nonsense, loving father who enjoyed taking his girls
fishing and watching his son wrestle and play football. Dennis was the go-to guy for advice, home projects, a good laugh, and helping fix just about anything.
Dennis was preceded in death by grandparents Alan Allers, Joseph and Therese Gilroy, and Brother-in-law Jason Guisinger.
Dennis was a loving husband, father, and friend who will be greatly missed by everyone.
