Diane was dynamic in so many ways, she never met a stranger, and was welcoming to everyone. Diane had a strong personality with opinions and a soft heart. She absolutely loved people and was business minded. Diane owned her own financial business called Checks and Balances, and in 1995 Ernie and Diane opened New Melle Antiques and Tea Room that specialized in European Antiques. The Tea Room also specialized in European tea and food recipes, which inspired their trip to Europe. They retired in 2009. In 2017, because of her love for parties and music, we started a music venue called 3611 Listening Room. The special creative music was presented twice a month on Sundays. Because of Diane's social acumen, we had musicians from Alsace Lorraine, France, Milan, Italy, Chicago, and a variety of talented musicians from the St. Louis area, unfortunately when Covid hit the venue closed. Diane lived a rich life and everyone will miss her and her memorable smile.
Diane's body was donated to St. Louis University School of Medicine.
