David L. Hopen, 53, of Augusta, MO, passed away on May 29, 2023.
David was born in Washington, MO to Wilbert and Doris Hopen nee Fuhr.

David enjoyed going to his nieces and nephew’s sports games and was very proud of all their accomplishments. He also enjoyed going to demolition derbies along with truck/tractor pulls and playing bingo with his mom. Before his illness, he enjoyed bowling.

He is survived by his mother, Doris Hopen of Augusta, MO; two siblings, Paul (Donna) Hopen and Lori (Joe) Becszlko both of Augusta, MO; six nieces and nephews, Alexander (Ashlyn) Becszlko, Abbie Hopen, Ryan Becszlko, Jon (Amanda) Hopen, Sarah Becszlko, Ellie Hopen. David was preceded in death by his father, Wilbert Hopen.

Visitation: Monday, June 5, 2023, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, 5542 Walnut Street, Augusta.

Funeral: Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Pitman Funeral Home in Augusta.

A private family interment will take place at a later date.
