Ian F. Brown of Foristell, Missouri passed away on June 6, 2023, at the age of 80.

He was born in St. Louis, Missouri, to Vernon and Mary (Cringles) Brown. Ian met and married Pamela (Dawson) Brown, and they had two children, Matthew and Lisa. They were married 55 years before Pamela's passing in February 2023.

Ian was a Flight Engineer/Mechanic in the U.S. Navy, retiring after 24 years of service. He had a private pilot license. Ian was the co-owner of Femme Osage Apiary, past president of the Missouri State Beekeeper’s Association, and a Certified Master Beekeeper from the University of Nebraska. In the late 90s, Ian and Pamela were sponsored by the U. S. Aid to travel to Uzbekistan and teach beekeeping and exchange beekeeping knowledge.

He is survived by his two children, Lisa Brown-Derrick and Matthew (Rebecca) Brown both of Foristell, MO; brother, Vernon F. (Donna) Brown, Jr.; sister, Debra Simmons; seven grandchildren, Ian Derrick, Larry (Amber) Kohenskey, III, Thomas Brown, Lucas Brown, Brenna Derrick, Beonnica (James) Heath, Jordan Brown; six great-grandchildren, Sir, Aurora, Freyah, Eliana, Evelyn, and Emilia. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Pamela M. Brown.
