Kenneth Herman Hugo Webbink of Wright City passed away at St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake St. Louis, Missouri on June 27, 2023, surrounded by his family.

He was born in 1945 in Wright City to Gustav and Selma (Nadler) Webbink. He was born and lived in the same house all of his life and farming the farm. Kenneth graduated from Wright City High School in 1963. He was active in vocational agriculture, a member of FFA (Future Farmers of America) all four years in high school, secretary/treasurer for several years, class treasurer for three years, and was honored with the Dekalb Agricultural Accomplishment Award in 1963.
Kenneth served in the U. S. Army as an SP/4 from 1966 to 1968. He was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas and spent some time in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was a telephone switchboard operator and also worked with tanks.
Kenneth was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in New Melle, Missouri. Kenneth loved farming and being outdoors, he loved his family and friends and was always happy to spend time with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother-in-law, Roger Schwede. He is survived by his sisters, Laverne (Wesley) Williams and Carolyn Schwede; nieces and nephews, Joyce (Bill) Rook, Robert (Terri) Williams, Tom (Donna) Williams, Shad Schwede, Jennifer (Kenny) Regot, and Amanda (Matt) Mack; great nieces and nephews, Amy (Mike) Salvo, Matthew (Dawn) Rook, Nicole (Zack) Nemechek, Brittany and Alexis Williams, Ethan (Rachel) Kersting, Dustyn and Huntyr Schwede, and Wayne Regot; great nieces and nephews, Dominic and Zachary Salvo, Kamden and Myles Rook, Charlotte Walker, and Ivy Kersting; they were his whole life and were all loved by “Uncle Kenny.”
Services: Visitation – Wednesday, July 5, 2023, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Parkway, Wentzville, MO 63385 and on Thursday, July 6 from 9 to 10 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran, 150 W Hwy D, New Melle, MO 63365.
Funeral – Thursday, July 6 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran, New Melle.
