Mark Fowler of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away at his home on July 18, 2023, at the age of 63 years.
Mark Fowler.jpgHe is survived by his sisters, Rebecca Fowler Murphy of Wentzville, MO, Jodie Hemmer of Wentzville, MO, and Ann (Clint) Blankenship of Troy, MO; niece, Tamara (Stacy) Gerard of Wentzville, MO; nephew, Andrew (Jenna) Murphy of Wentzville,MO: great-nephews, Jack, Sam, and Brady Gerard and Carter Murphy; great-niece, Elsie Murphy; step-siblings, Cathy (Jim) Miller of Silex, MO, Paul (Cindy) Malone of Troy, MO, Tom Malone of Pompano Beach, FL, Reginald (Judy) Hemmer, Jr. of Wentzville, MO, Lynn (Gary) McMeans of O’Fallon, MO, and Michael (Nancy) Hemmer of Wentzville, MO.

Mark was one of the hardest-working men on earth; his work ethic could not be surpassed. While operating his equipment, he was in his element. Mark took pride in his work. He wanted to ensure a job was done right, even working into the late night hours. Mark did not let his physical disability deter him from accomplishing what he wanted. He loved his heritage. He cared to preserve and protect history. He had an excellent memory of any subject, especially family ancestry and growing up. He could tell you the year and month he built a fence or anything else, no matter how important or trivial. Mark’s friendship, vast knowledge and expertise will be greatly missed.

He revealed a fortitude that will long remain a source of inspiration through all that he endured. When you think of Mark, you think of the word perseverance – steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy A. (Grapenthin) Hemmer and her husband, Reginald F. Hemmer, Sr. and his father, William R. Fowler and William’s wife, Beverly.
